Yes, both. It works by recording live through the app or if you'd like to record through another way and upload the recording into Breezi you can do that as well. If you'd like to keep your phone in your pocket or near your computer screen it typically works well wherever your phone is placed.

How private are my therapist notes in Breezi?

Privacy is our top priority. Your therapist notes and counselling session notes are encrypted and stored securely. You have full control over what’s saved, deleted, or used to personalise your AI therapy experience. As soon as the notes are generated, the recording and transcription are permanently deleted from our systems.

Will my AI therapy chats with Breezi use the therapist notes I upload?

Absolutely. Breezi’s AI note taker for therapy sessions uses your stored context to continue the conversation and help you go deeper between sessions. It’s designed to support your real-life progress, not replace your therapist.

How do I tell my therapist I want to record sessions for notes?

If you’d like to use Breezi as your AI note taker for therapy sessions, we advise you to let your therapist know beforehand. Most therapists are supportive as long as you're transparent. Within the app, we have easy to read information about Breezi you can email to your therapist. Alterantively, you can simply say:"I’ve been using a therapy note taker app to help me remember and reflect between sessions. Would it be okay if I take brief notes or record our session for personal use only? The app doesn’t store audio - just creates private summaries I can use to stay on track." Breezi automatically deletes audio after creating your therapist notes, keeping your counselling session notes private and secure.
